What is unique about Vypyr is that you can use it both for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass. An extra cool feature is that you can also do the opposite and modulate the sound so your electric guitar sounds like an acoustic, an electric bass or some other unique instrument. The VYPYR features Peavey's fantastic TransTube technology for a tube sound with the advantages of transistors to handle touring life.
Built into the VYPYR X3, you will find a total of 36 different amplifier simulators, of which 6 are specifically for acoustic guitar and 6 for electric bass. This gives an amazing amount of opportunities for you to experiment with sound of various kinds at home in the chamber. The dist is of analog model with TransTube technology. An analog dist gives a sound that is heard and stands out in the music in a much more musical and clear way than a digital dist. This is how they have mixed the best of two worlds, you could say.
With the built-in 3-band equalizer, one of the 12 stompbox effects, reverb and delay, you can dial in a sound that suits you perfectly. You can save up to 16 presets so you can find back to the exact sound you created and to make it as smooth as possible, the amplifier also has a tuner, headphone output as well as a line-in and Bluetooth if you want to play to your favorite songs from e.g. . your phone.
A looper allows you to create cool loops directly in your Peavey Vypyr. The looper requires the accessory Sanpera Footswitch (not included).
