Swingstar Made In Japan -83 Hoshino Gakki

Here we have a newly arrived Tama Swingstar from -83! Made In Japan/Hoshino Gakki. The bodies and wrap are in very good condition, have only had one owner and were bought new in 1983. They consist of 9 ply mahogany with Zola coating. The same frame as the sister series Imperialstar (used, among other things, by Stewart Copeland in The Police). The drum set includes the associated snare drum in chromed metal.

The drums are sold as shellpack + drum and specs are:

• Bass drum: 22x14" (Powerstroke 3 coated + Evans EQ3 resonant)
• Hangers: 12x8" & 13x9" (Ambassador coated + clear)
• Floor mat: 16x16" (Ambassador coated + clear)
• Swirl: 14x5" (Ambassador coated + clear snare side)
