Saturn Evolution is yet another innovative series signed by Mapex! The bodies are made of Birch and Walnut, a mix that Mapex launched as a limited edition in the Saturn series in 2012 and has since become so popular that in 2022 Mapex decided to resume this successful mix again. This time in a series that is here to stay: Saturn Evolution!
The blend of Birch and Walnut gives a controlled and dark tone with fantastic clarity, an unmatched clip and a brutal bottom. In order to achieve harmony in the set, it has been chosen to have different chamfers and thicknesses of frames and layers depending on the diameter of the drum. The snare drums are equipped with Mapex's new Halo Mount, a completely revolutionary rim suspension with minimal impact on the sound of the drum. The Halo Mount also has an Adjustment Knob where you can adjust the reverberation in the drum. Saturn Evolution features Sonic Saver Hoops and Mapex's coveted bearing edge SONIClear.
