The CE24 model was introduced by PRS in 1988 and has since become one of the cornerstones of PRS' wide range. The SE CE 24 Sandblasted has a body entirely in mahogany and a top in Swamp Ash where the top has been blasted and varnished in a way that further enhances the grain of the wood. The thin varnish used to varnish the instrument allows the CE 24 Sandblasted to reach its full tonal potential. The maple neck has a screw-on neck attachment and a rosewood fingerboard. The microphones, PRS 85/15 “S” have a clear balanced tone with a clear high register and a lower register with a little extra push. To split the humbucker microphones into single-coils, you use the tone control's Push/Pull function. This workhorse offers tone, looks and playability that suits both the beginner and the long-time player.
