Fat Spruce has unique bodies of 100% Spruce in a luxurious Satin Wild Spruce finish. Spruce is a recognized musical type of wood and is used, among other things, in guitars but less often in drum making. Fat Spruce has molded edges that provide brilliance and focus. The full, yet open sound means that the Fat Spruce fits well in several tuning positions. The warm timbre is also present in high tuning mode and the bottom timbre comes forward even with softer playing. The focused sound provides core and short sustain even in medium and low tuning where the light frames have a pronounced vintage character.
The specially designed puck holder mount is mounted directly on the frame without losing either the puck's bottom register or sustain. Fat Spruce has a clear Vintage character and is praised by both drummers and sound engineers for its focused tone and controlled sustain.
