The RG80 is an 8-string model in the Ibanez Standard series with Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers, pickups that have become more or less the industry standard in modern metal.
Lacquered in a shiny black which combined with gold hardware and white pickups gives it an expensive and sophisticated look that would work in almost any style you play.
The guitar has a 5-piece Wizard II-8 neck made of maple and walnut. The neck is a 685.8mm/27" scale, long enough for the low notes to be firm and stable but not so long that it feels like playing bass. The body is made of mercanti and the even frequency response makes it also very suitable for distade sound, it glues the sound together nicely without it being either scattered or indistinct.
