The VOX NT15H-G2 Night Train is a 15W full-tube guitar amp head. This is the second generation of the retro-looking Night Train series, and it features a metal grill, a glossy black finish, and vintage-style knobs and handles. Both the preamp and power amp are equipped with tubes, meaning that this amp doesn't just have vintage looks, but a vintage sound too. To add to that, it also has a number of options that made it possible to produce fantastic high-gain sounds, making the NT15H-G2 a perfect fusion of vintage and modern.
The NT15H-G2 has no fewer than 5 tubes on board. The preamp makes use of three of the famous 12AX7 tubes, and the power amp is equipped with two EL84 tubes. Speaking of the power amp, it delivers 15 watts of power, making it great for playing at home or for performing in small cafes. Combine that with two channels, and you have a wide range of guitar sounds at your disposal, from sparkling cleans to scathing overdrives, with the constant warmth and dynamics of the tubes as the overarching theme. The Bright channel is equipped with a Thick switch which bypasses the tone control to deliver more gain, so you can enjoy a thick, crunchy tone. There's also a Dark switch, which is new in this second generation model, which filters out the highs for all of your Rammstein-inspired riffs.
