Just like its big brother, this mini top is co-designed with Misha Mansoor from the band Periphery.
The result, Invective MH is a neat 20 Watt amplifier top powered by a pair of EL84 tubes in the output stage. The front step has been equipped with 3 pcs. 12AX7/ECC83 tubes and delivers everything from a really clean sound to fat dist-saturated "growls".
Following Misha Mansoor's wishes and preferences, Invective MH is packed with useful features. The amplifier has two channels, Clean and Lead with separate tone controls. On the Lead channel you will also find a Gate function that not only ensures that it is quiet when you are not playing, it is also a good aid when you want to tighten the heavy "palm-muting" riffs further. In addition, there is a Boost and a Tight function baked into the Lead channel.
Even if you don't see it at first glance, the back hides a number of useful functions. You can reduce the wattage of the Invective MH from its full 20 watts, down to 5 Watts or 1 Watt. The DI output (XLR) has a ground lift and a speaker simulation, which is useful when you want to connect directly to the mixer when working in the studio or on stage. Right next to the DI output, there is a practical headphone socket (3.5mm) which also goes via the speaker simulation so you get a "ready-mixed" tone even when playing with headphones. If you want to record directly to the computer, there is a USB connection with Audio-out.
