AS113-BS (Brown Sunburst) Artstar.
The Artstar is the worst thing in the Ibanez Artcore range, full-blooded hollow and semi-hollow instruments for professionals or someone who just wants a really good instrument without completely sinking the wallet. What distinguishes Artstar most is that it is extremely well built, good and beautiful wood and very good pickups and parts.
The AS113 is a semi hollow-body guitar, through middle stock, just as you would expect from a good 335th piece guitar, which makes the guitar very insensitive to feedback/rounding even at very loud volumes. .
The body is built of spruce top with flamed maple in both sides and bottom, a wood that is both well-sounding and beautiful. The neck is a 3-piece set-in (glued) Nyatoh/maple neck with a bound ebony fingerboard with classic Acrylic/Abalone block inlays. Medium frets with Artstar Fret Edge Treatment.
The pickups are an Ibanez Super 58, which combines a soft and nuanced tone with an ability to bite when needed. Works just as well for pure and traditional jazz sounds as for overdriven blues and rock sounds, combined with a Tri-Sound switch that allows the neck mic to be run in series, split or in parallel.
