Analog Flanger pedal based on classic Flangers from the 70s. The flanger effect dates back as far as the 1940s, when sound engineers managed to record a signal on two tapes in sync. When playing back the material, the technician puts his finger on the flange (rim) of one of the tape reels, causing the same signal to be played at different speeds - the Flanger effect was born!
The Black Sheep Analog Flanger is a compact, true bypass, ruggedly built pedal that faithfully recreates this tape effect by splitting the signal in two and letting you manipulate the amount of flanger with the three controls, Rate, Range and Color. It also offers two modes, Normal and Filter, allowing you to choose between a lovely full Flanger effect or a cool retro-filtered Flange just by flicking the switch.
If you've been looking for that real "woosh" jet engine Flanger tone, you've found it.
It's completely silent in the pedal chain and when activated, it doesn't pull any low or body from the tone, it just adds that classic flanger tone.
Analog Flanger delivers a big and impressive sound at an affordable price.
