Perhaps the world's coolest delay is back!
After many years of reverse-engineering and testing, T-Rex has finally managed to recreate what may be the coolest delay effect on the market. The Binson Echorec is back in a new format, albeit with some modern updates. In addition, it is hand-built in Denmark.
With both Tele and XLR out, it works just as well on a pedalboard as in the studio. However, it must be said that you need a fairly large pedal board to accommodate it.
The Binson Echorec offers a unique and characteristic echo thanks to a rotating metal drum, on which the signal is recorded through a magnetic head. The four playback heads allow you to select individual echoes and swells.
- Two recording heads with long and short delays
- Adjusting the speed of the drum by +/- 20%
- Four individually selectable playback heads
- Four individual adjustments for the level of the playback heads
- Balanced inputs and outputs for studio use
- Clutch to adjust the drum speed externally
- Connection for external bypass
- Option to choose Repeats or Swell
- Dimensions 100 x 250 x 190mm
- Weight 2.6kg
