AEWC has borrowed its body shape from the immensely popular Exotic Wood (AEW) series, in a slightly more compact format, a comfortable body shape with a gently rounded cut-away that makes access to the highest frets easy. The guitar has a relatively rich tone acoustically but is primarily intended for those who usually play amplified, into the studio, out into a PA or an acoustic amplifier.
Equipped with a Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup and Ibanez's excellent AEQ-SP1 preamp, it will deliver a nice and malleable elacoustic sound whatever you plug it into. A guitar that feels welcome to both an electric guitarist and a traditional acoustic player, whether plays with a plectrum or with the fingers.
