Zildjian K Paper Thin Crash cymbals are a good example of how Zildjian picks out highlights from the company's now more than 400-year history. A history marked by development and innovation with the motivation to offer products that deliver with gusto what drummers demand and want, regardless of playing and musical style.

The inspiration for this new series has been taken from the 50s when Zildjian started to manufacture very thin crash cymbals. So with an ear to the ground and a look in the rearview mirror, the K Zildjian Paper Thin Crash Series was created to fill a demand from drummers around the world.

With new technology, Zildjian's development team has designed a series of crashes that combine the characteristics of thin cymbals with the characteristics of cymbals in larger sizes, all of which are gathered in the now more legendary K-Zildjian series. The K Zildjian Paper Thin Crashes are available in sizes 18", 19", 20", 21" and 22".

The model is explosive and has a dark response with clear overtones that at the same time fade out in a fast and smooth way. The key to solving this is a unique manufacturing process where the cymbals are hammered in three different stages to bring out the tonal flexibility and nuances that give these cymbals their special sound.

The thin construction provides a natural overtone rich register with a solid response in the lower frequencies, the result is a perfect addition to Zildjian's K series.
