Meinl Byzance Dual China 18" - B18DUCH Raw/Brilliant finish
18" Dual China, Hand Hammered in B20 Alloy - 80% Copper, 20% Tin.

Dual China is manufactured in the same luxurious way as other Dual cymbals with a Raw center and turned outer edges in a brilliant finish. The slightly thinner edges mean that the Dual China responds quickly even with weaker playing and feels balanced with a nice oriental touch with a lot of crash effect. Also works for lighter riding games on the unturned surface.

• Hand hammered B20 Alloy - 80% copper, 20% tin.
• Hand-spun top and bottom.
• Made in Meinl's Turkish factory, quality controlled and finished in Meinl's Germany.
• Warm sound character, low volume full attack.
• Wide sound spectrum suitable for several genres such as Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Studio, World, Electro

Byzantium:
Byzance is manufactured in Meinl's Turkish factory according to traditional craftsmanship methods that are characterized by great skill and professional pride. Each cymbal is cast from B20 alloy which is 80% copper and 20% tin. The cast blank is heated, rolled and cooled according to a carefully tested schedule until the correct thickness is achieved. Next, the bell of the cymbal is shaped before the hand hammering takes place to create the shape of the cymbal. The series that have a turned surface are then hand-turned before being sent to Germany. Each step in the said process has decisive importance for the sound character and properties of the cymbal, which means that e.g. 16" Thin crash is manufactured according to a different pattern than ditto Heavy crash.
The raw cymbals are sent to Meinl's German factory for quality control, sorting and various finishing touches such as e.g. lazer logo, brilliant finish, sandblasting. The bike is closed and the match between Turkish craftsmanship and German quality control and finishing is the key to the success of Byzance's warm sound and high even standards.

Byzance is available in the following variants, Foundry Reserve, Dual, Traditional, Vintage, Jazz, Extra Dry, Dark and Brilliant all with unique sound characteristics and appearance.
