No expense has been spared when it comes to guitars and basses in the Ball Family Reserve series. The Cutlass 58 is produced in only 100 copies. This is the only copy (number 19 of 100) available in Scandinavia. Welcome in and test play!
The modern electric guitar has a rich history, rooted in the 20th century's "Golden Era" of instrument making. During this time, guitar makers produced iconic solid body guitars that became the world's most beloved.
The Cutlass BFR Classic 58 celebrates this classic period with vintage-inspired specs, including a 3-tone sunburst finish, roasted alder body, and roasted maple neck. Nitrocellulose lacquer applied thinly to protect the exquisite burst finish, where the electronics showcase three vintage single-coil pickups controlled by a 5-way switch with volume and two tone controls.
The Cutlass Classic 58 is a classic vintage-inspired instrument that offers a nostalgic vibe with modern touches for reliability and playability.
A number of things set this special edition apart from the standard Cutlass model. The neck has a soft V to C profile for the right vintage feel. The Cutlass 58 has three vintage-wound single-coil pickups with Heavy Formvar, 0.42 AWG cable and Alnico V magnets. Many 50's pickups were tested and the Music Man has succeeded in reproducing a warm yet shimmering tone with a solid bottom and crystal clear top. The Cutlass Classic does not have a buffered output/silent circuit, but the electronics are completely passive.
