Takamine's LTD2024 model is inspired by our solar system where the eight planets are found as inlays in the fingerboard with extra focus on the earth and the sun.
The instrument is made in Takamine's factory in Japan just below the mountain that gave the company its name, Takamine. The materials and parts are specially selected by the most experienced guitar builders in the factory. The choice of a black graphite saddle is not only because it matches the guitar aesthetically in a perfect way, graphite has a unique capacity to distribute the vibrations of the strings throughout the instrument.
To capture the instrument's genuine tone, Takamine has chosen to equip the LTD2024 with the CTF-2 preamp, also known as the "Brownie". The preamp, which originally got its nickname thanks to its brown color, is based on FET circuits that reproduce the tone in a warm and natural way. This reissue of the CTF-2 has also been fitted with a tuner and a notch filter.
