Vater introduces a new innovation with its Extended Play logs. The development team has worked hard for 14 months and the result gives you guaranteed increased durability and a log that can never break in half. The Vater Extended Play™ Series is an extremely durable series of drumsticks that have two unique features.
First of all, a pearl-colored, specially developed coating whose finish protects the upper part of the log from wear and cracks. The other exclusive feature is its 3″ long Stick Shield which is located in the center of the stock. The Vater Stick Shield is made of a material that is 8 times stronger than steel and we can promise you that no matter how hard you try, you will never succeed in knocking the drum stick off via edge hits. The back part of the log has the same fine wood finish that you find on all Vater logs and Extended Play™ gives you the same optimal balance and feel as other hickory logs, but with significantly higher durability!
