Subharmonicon is a semi-modular polyrhythmic analog synthesizer that uses a 6-tone sound engine and multiple clock generators to explore the world of subtones, polyrhythms, and the unique relationships they create.
Subharmonic's signature sound starts with two analog VCOs and four Subharmonic oscillators for a total of six powerful sound sources. Each subharmonic note is mathematically derived from one of the two main VCOs, giving the resulting chord shapes a beautifully coherent quality. Built-in quantization gives you perfect intervals every time with a choice of several tuning systems - Equal Temperament, Just Intonation or no quantization at all.
Subharmonicon has two polyrhythmic 4-step sequencers. Each sequencer is clocked by any or all of four rhythm generators that provide mathematical divisions of the master tempo. Use multiple rhythm generators on top of each other to create complex polyrhythms and discover inspiring new patterns and styles. Immerse yourself in Subharmonicon's dual envelope generators, Moog Ladder filters and analog VCAs.
Although no patching is required to start creating sounds, the Subharmonicon's modular patchbay allows you to explore almost endless new connections and ideas. Its 32-point 3.5mm patchbay can be plugged into itself, expanding the Subharmonicon's functions or connected with the Mother-32, DFAM and/or other external Eurorack-compatible equipment (MIDI Type A adapter from DIN to 3.5mm tele included). Use as a standalone synth with the included +12V DC power supply or remove the front panel to install in a Eurorack system.
