A successful collaboration between John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith resulted in 2018 in the SE Silver Sky, John Mayer's own signature model. The SE Silver Sky Maple is identical to the model released in 2018 in all but one way... the fingerboard is maple.

The solid poplar body in combination with the three Single Coil pickups gives a classic vintage sound but has all the advantages and finesse that a modern guitar has. The maple fingerboard of course has PRS beautiful bird inlays and a radius of 8.5". The headstock is classic PRS design but reversed to suit John Mayer's playing style.
