Based on a simple trigger wave, the Volca Drum uses a wave folder and overdrive to create harmonics, and then a waveguide resonator makes the sound live and breathe. The six-part synth engine has been designed with a completely different philosophy compared to standard drum machines, and can produce a breadth of unexpected, unconventional sounds. And of course you can play them with the familiar Volca sequencer.
Drum/percussion machine in the Volca series, LCD display, 16-step sequencer, MIDI, Sync In/Out. Volca is a series of both analog and digital synths with sequencers created to generate the ultimate "lead" sounds, basses or rhythms. Much of the technology in the Volca series is also taken from the era when analog ruled the world. Now the Volca series gets an addition of a new rhythm machine with yet another new dimension in the form of Volca Drum, a digital percussion synthesizer.
