The TG D71 is mainly used for miking bass drums by simply placing it without any additional mic stand in the bass drum. The non-slip rubber underside ensures that the microphone cannot move on its own. In addition to this, the TG D71 can also be used for other low-frequency instruments such as cajon, grand piano or upright piano, while the compact design and semi-cardioid polar pattern ensure easy placement of the microphone.
Due to its high impulse accuracy, a low attack time and a maximum sound pressure level of 148 dB, the TG D71 is suitable for miking percussion instruments.
The robust housing in a slim, compact design protects the microphone from damage during tough daily use on stage. For a permanent installation on a surface, there are two mounting holes on the bottom of the microphone.
The microphone is equipped with an integrated amplifier and can be powered on microphone inputs that supply 11 to 52 V phantom power. A red LED shows the activated phantom power and thus the operating status of the microphone.
