The ATZ300 is phantom guitarist Andy Timmons' new signature model based on the successful AZ series. Even though it is based on the AZ model, it is still quite different from the usual AZs with a different neck profile, a different bridge and a different mic setup.

The AZT has a slightly narrower string spacing than the regular AZ, but otherwise a similar neck profile.
A 1-piece Prestige neck in S-TECH treated maple. S-TECH is "nitrogen-heating-treatment" of wood and is a further development of what is usually called roasted/baked wood. Which in Swedish means in short that the wood undergoes a heat treatment in a nitrogen-filled heating process to remove water and resin from the wood. It makes the wood light, stable, durable and completely unaffected by changes in humidity. The wood also becomes waterproof and therefore does not need to be varnished. These properties make the neck extremely resonant, light in physical weight and with loads of singing sustain (the same properties that really good old wood can sometimes have). A clear timbre with unparalleled note separation. The guitar sings in a completely different way than the corresponding untreated wood and is several hundred times more stable. The neck is finally treated with oil, which gives the guitar a well-recorded wooden feel, forget about sticky varnish to get stuck in.

Sonically and stylistically, the guitar is an extremely broad chameleon, just like the guitarist whose name it bears. Whatever style of music you play and whatever kind of sound you're looking for, the guitar will deliver what you're looking for. The pickups in the guitar are DiMarzio Crusier, Just put on any Andy record if you want to get a picture of what it can sound like.

The bridge is a Wilkinson/Gotoh VSVG, a swing in a modern vintage style which, together with the lockable Gotoh HAP-M tuning screws, means that the guitar keeps its tune even with fairly brutal swing use.

With its 1-ply pickguard in black and its stylish 1-piece neck, it is a guitar with a fairly neutral, stylish, perhaps purely classic visual impression. A discreet design that would fit in with whatever style of music you play.
