For the first time, three different woods work together in a Grado headphone. The housing is made from a maple sleeve, hemp core and an outer ring of Cocobolo thread. Grado builds with wood for its warm and embracing tonal abilities, but finding the right balance between three separate woods is no easy task. The reward, however, is an RS1x that opens Grado to a new level of sound and simply must be heard! Its characteristic design offers a very high level of listening comfort, which guarantees long pleasant listening moments without discomfort. The RS1x has received so many international awards that there is no space to list them all here. The 50mm elements are matched to an accuracy of 0.05 dB to offer a perfect tonal balance between the two capsules. Connection cables with 8 conductors of high-purity UHPLC copper (Ultra-high purity, long crystal).
The RS1x offers an outstanding airy treble range and a warm and well-defined midrange. The bass reproduction also sets the standard among headphones with its mighty weight and definition. The presentation of micro details and the placement of the instruments in the sound image constitute a reference among headphones. The transparent appearance brings to mind what you normally experience when listening to expensive high-end speakers. The model's characteristics make it suitable for demanding listening in a home environment as well as for reference listening in a professional studio environment.
