The PRS SE NF3 stands out in PRS' wide range of instruments. The soul of this model is in the three Narrowfield microphones. The idea behind these mics is simple, create a really good single coil and combine it with the wider tone without the hum found in a humbucker. The result was the Narrowfield DD which has been designed to provide a focused and powerful tone without losing the single coil character for the sake of it.
The body is made of poplar and the maple neck has a maple fingerboard. The saddle is a PRS patented saddle where cast saddles are used to get maximum sustain.
With its Narrowfield microphones, the PFS SE NF3 works perfectly for most styles of music where it can shred with a lot of bite, sing with a lot of sustain or whisper with the help of dynamics. You decide how NF3 should express itself.
