At the end of 1979, the Super Swede was developed in collaboration with Rutger Gunnarsson who used this model on ABBA's last tour in North America. This became one of Hagström's last Swedish-made models. It was produced in only 364 copies and over the years has become a hot collector's item. Now it is back in production!
The Super Swede has a mahogany body with a double cutaway, a through mahogany neck with a Resinator Wood fingerboard and modern J-Quad quad-stacked humbuckers.
Thanks to Hagström's drawbar H-Expander, the neck is flexible, stable and easy to play. A super cheeky bass that sounds at least as good as it looks!
