Duesenberg's own two-pickup layout with a Domino P90 and a Split/King dual-coil pickup creates a unique diversity in sound. This is topped off by a design that exudes the pure elegance of 50s and 60s guitar design.
Julia is made of solid premium mahogany with large sound chambers, a maple top and elegant double binding. The neck is made from a single piece of maple, fitted with a rosewood fingerboard and a cream colored binding.
The innovative coil concept makes both tone worlds, singlecoil and humbucker, available at the touch of a button. The Split/King Dual-Coil doesn't just split a full-sized humbucker to create a singlecoil. Instead, it starts with a true singlecoil microphone and adds a certain type of coil to make it sound like a humbucker. This is a completely new approach to creating both tonal worlds with a single microphone. The position of the microphone can be selected with a switch behind the tremolo. The second switch acts as a directout switch that routes the stall pickup directly to the output jack, bypassing all other electrical components.
