AAM780E-NT. (Natural High Gloss). Western guitar with mic & case. Advanced Auditorium. All Solid.
Advanced Auditorium
To this end, Ibanez strove to create something completely new, a series of instruments, imbued with old-fashioned, hand-built and rare qualities.
In these instruments, Ibanez uses the highest quality woods and is crafted with uncompromising attention to detail, representing the pinnacle of design and tone in Ibanez acoustic guitars.
The body shape is created to achieve high playability combined with a well-balanced and good-sounding sound that "sits" equally well in the studio as on stage, whether playing solo guitar or in an ensemble.
A specially designed XM bracing gives a wide sound and good projection (how the instrument throws the sound). A rich and long sustain that works well both for plectrum and finger playing.
The AAM780E has Ibanez's new AIR Port construction. Acoustic - Information - Response
AIR Port is for better listening for the guitarist. Hole in the hem against you. It's a great feature. A clear trend among acoustic guitars, but no major brand offers it at an affordable price point. Plus, what the others have, is basically just a hole drilled into the body.
Ibanez felt that there had to be some better way for better listening..
After trying many different sizes and types of holes and designs, they settled on the perfect sound gate design, placing angled wooden blocks that throw the sound out of the gate. They also decided to apply it to a wide range of models.
The body has a solid Sitka Spruce top with solid Rosewood sides and back.
Getting electronics, preamps and microphones into acoustic instruments is always a compromise with the acoustic sound of the instrument. On the AAM model, this compromise has been made as small as possible by using a very compact active preamp, to affect the acoustic sound as little as possible.
The guitar retains its acoustic tone while having a stable, well-sounding, natural and distortion-free plugged-in sound.
